From North Alabama passing through when I started having major transmission problems. These guys where very helpful in finding and diagnosing the problem. And although they didn't do the repairs the quality of workmanship they showed me was one of a kind. Very friendly and helpful staff and I'd recommend to anyone

This is a clean beautiful shop and reception area, great customer service and experience, they checked my entire car over and recommend preventive maintenance, I knew I haven't maintained my car very well in the past, they showed me the problem areas and explained in detail as to why I need to do a better job on keeping my vehicle maintained better. I love this place. I definitely recommend this place if you plan on keeping your car.

I see all positive reviews here but I just haven't had good luck with this place. I have two older cars and both were leaking oil. I knew I was going to have to spend some money to get each one fixed because of the age of the cars and I was ok with that. I just wanted the cars to no longer leak oil. They replaced the valve cover gaskets on the first car, the car still leaked oil. Took that car back and then was told the upper and lower engine seals were the problem but if all that was to be done, I might as well have the timing belt and water pump done at the same time. Again, I knew I was going to have to spend some money on this older car so I told them to go ahead and do what needed to be done but I specifically said to the manager "Do what you have to do to stop the leaks. I don't want to have to bring this car back again because its losing oil." I picked the car up after the second round of repairs and then took in my other car in for repair. Again, we started with valve cover gaskets, it still leaked oil. Took that car back and then I was told it was the entire oil pan that needed replaced because of a stripped drain plug and also a seal behind the oil filter needed replaced. I again told them "Do what you need to do to stop the leaks." After two months of having both of these cars worked on and spending close to $1,000 on the first car and $800 on the second, both vehicles still leak oil.

Great Repair Shop! We broke down in Gainesville coming from TN and called The Transmission Dr. They got us directly in the same day and were very helpful. The guys were very knowledgeable and had a major repair done in two days. It really got us out of a bind and back on the road. We were in a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel. New Flex plate New Transmission adapter New Starter New Fluids. Runs great again. Thanks for a great job! Adam

I have been using Transmission Doctor for approximately four years now. I moved out of state for sometime and was dissapointed because I couldn't find anyone as reliable. Tracey is extremely helpful in explaining what services are crucial as well as what can be delayed if you are on a budget or adverse to dropping more cash than you may have planned. I intend on keeping my current vehicle for as long as possible and I know that Transmission Doctor will "steer" me in the right direction to make it so. In addition they have a clean and neat waiting area and provide good coffee (not the questionable pot of coffee and creamer that you can't put a date or time as to when it was made).
