I was moving up north and my transmission died right outside of Alachua. I had statefarm tow it to Transmission Dr. I honestly called these guys wayyy to much and every single time Lonnie was super professional with me. Answered every question and concern and made sure my truck was taken care of. He gave me options for what the outcome was and what paths we could take next. They had it done sooner than I expected and now I have a good transmission with a nice warranty. Even though I'm in Tennessee now, I recommend these guys for anyone around the Gainesville/Alachua area. 5/5 Customer service 5/5 Quality of work

I first got referred here about 5 years ago for a transmission repair by my previous mechanic who retired. They installed a rebuilt transmission for my Tundra and it's been running perfectly ever since. I've also been using their shop for all my routine maintenance. I trust them because of the quality work the mechanics do, and because the customer service reps in the office are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything. Plus, once I experienced something not quite 100% after I left so brought the vehicle right back and they were totally happy to fix it. The one issue is they are quite busy because of their good reputation so there could be some lead time to get an appointment, but to me it's worth the wait : )

I've been using Transmission Doctor for maintenance and tires for years on my 2006 Tundra. Started here because my previous (now retired) mechanic referred me for a transmission rebuild. They did a great job and I've since driven my Tundra back and forth to Colorado seven times. As you might suspect they are in demand, so be patient with their scheduling.
